Back at South Pacific Berets: the original striped sailor shirts (or 'Telnyashka's') as used by the Russian (previously Soviet) navy and parts of the army.
These shirts are made in Ukraine, have a loose fit and are 100% cotton, striped in navy/white. The Breton shirt was created officially by French law, the 27th of March 1858 Act, which made the blue-and-white striped knitted shirt part of the regulatory uniform for French sailors. It was thought that the stripes would help to locate seamen who fell overboard.
Ever thought of Chinese made goods as inferior? You'd think again when you see and feel the quality and comfort of these original P.R.o.C. Navy shirts! Stretchy cotton, tailored fit, comfy wrist cuffs... the nicest shirts of it's kind one can find - guaranteed. Size states XXL, but translated to western sizes, I would say L/XL.
